Sea Life Aquarium at LEGOLAND
An aquarium and theme park in one
A fun spin on the aquariums you’ve read about today is the SeaLife Aquarium at LEGOLAND California. I know the aquarium can seem as a bit of an afterthought, considering its located on the side of one of Americas most popular theme parks. However, the SeaLife Aquarium is a well thought out and organized, it’s an amazing experience! The exhibits are stunning and feel like any of the larger aquariums you may visit.
Featured Exhibits
The SeaLife Aquarium is a great place for the whole family! It has a small playground as soon as you walk in so young kids can get a bit of their energy out before walking through the aquarium. It’s also incredibly engaging for teenagers and young adults who will likely pass up on going down the slides. There is a touch pool about halfway through the aquarium so you and your family can finally get you hands (or fingers) on some starfish, sea cucumbers and sea anemones!

Immerse yourself in the wonders of the ocean as you walk through the underwater ocean tunnel. You will see a stunning display of beauty with the many creatures who call this exhibit home. You’ll be sure to see sharks, rays, and fish swim by!

As you make your way through the aquarium, you will eventually come across a large pool (non-interactive) holding many rays and sharks. The pool’s edgers are curved inward at the top so no need to worry about little ones getting injured. For older kids and adults, there is a platform which gives a more birds-eye-view of the pool.
Seahorse Exhibit

Take a break from viewing sharks and rays and head over to the Kingdom of the Seahorse Exhibit. No hands-on experience here but watch how the seahorses anchor themselves with their curly tails among the coral.
